Meet the Teacher

Welcome to Wages of Gear.

My name is Mitchell Boles and I am the owner/operator of Wages of Gear LLC.

A brief back history of me is probably in order. I have been a lover of music ever since elementary school. Once I started in middle school band in 2001, I had this feeling that music would always be a part of my life, once I graduated high school, I went to college for music education and have enjoyed the entire journey since. I currently play up to 24 musical instruments (most of which, I am still learning and becoming more proficient in). My passion is to help anyone who is interested in learning how to play a musical instrument. I really enjoy the whole process from start to finish.

Fun Fact #1: the most unique instrument I taught was the Harp.

Fun Fact #2: the oldest students I had were an 81 & 82 married couple who drove over an hour a week one way to take beginner guitar lessons from me.

Fun Fact #3: My favorite hobby other than finding new instruments to learn is to purchase different music method books so that I can learn from the different eras on how they taught and learn new strategies on how to teach students.

I am excited to be able to share a little bit about myself with you all and look forward to hopefully being able to blog more about my journey as a musician and the different methods I am currently researching/studying about.
